What is Field Day? ARRL Field Day is the single most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June of each year, thousands of radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations. The objective is to contact as many stations as possible on the 160-, 80-, 40-, 20-, 15- and 10-Meter HF bands, as well as all bands 50 MHz and above, and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less-than-optimal conditions. Again, the 2023 ARRL Field Day, is always the fourth full weekend of June, with a beginning time of 13:00hrs / 18:00 UTC (1:00pm) on Saturday the 24th of June and ending on Sunday, the 25th of June at 18:59hrs / 23:59 UTC (6:59pm). So, assemble your go-box with HF radio’s, antennas for the bands you plan on operating, some type of power source and let’s go make some contacts.
